Shopping Comparison Sites are creating a *HUGE* opportunity for anyone starting a dropshipping business. According to the Winterberry Group; by 2009, B2C (business to comsumer) e-commerce sales are forecasted to reach $298 billion, and comparison shopping sites are expected to influence $25 billion of that projection. Also, a recent AOL survey found that 27% of online shoppers described themselves as comparison shoppers or researchers, up from 23% in 2007.
Shopping Comparison sites are a great way to market your products and get your dropshipping business going. You can go from no traffic, to a flood of traffic overnight by simply joining sites like NexTag, Amazon, GoogleBase, etc. Although most are pay per click's, if you are smart and invest your time into seeing which items are profitable, and which are bleeding you dry, you WILL succeed on the comparison sites. Amazon, for example, will let you create your own store to sell your products, you don't even have to have your own website. Here is a sample list:
